Staffy Toys: Which One For Your Staffy?
Staffy Toys are a vital part of bringing up your staffy. Though I would never say a dog is human sometimes they do have similar traits. By that I mean we all like different things and can get bored sometimes your dog is no different. Staffys particularly. These two obviously both like the same toy.
My best friend loves reading and listening to music, but dislikes anything physical. If I were to buy him some running gear I know it would never see the the light of day.
This happens to dogs all the time. Especially staffys who are very intelligent and need stimulation. People look at them as all the same, and think that “all dogs love (fill in the blank).” Not true! Simply put, your staffy is unique. In fact all dogs are unique it does not matter what bread they are.
Think tough toys for tough dogs, mentally stimulating toys for clever dogs, and food-driven toys for the foodie-dogs in your life. Let’s start with the tough guys. Kong toys, Tire Biters, hard runbber items and toys of any kind and indestructible plastic balls, which are tested on elephants, are some of your best bets.
Cute stuffed toys will be dismembered the minute you take them out of the bag, so avoid them at all costs! Friends we have who don’t know a lot about Stffys still bring Flo soft balls which last about 5-10 minutes on average. Their heart is in the right place so we never say to much about this
Dogs driven by food rewards, and clever dogs who get quickly bored with nylon bones or squeaky toys, need challenging toys that have a payoff: A Kong filled with peanut butter and frozen, or an Everlasting Treat Ball. These require the dog to solve a puzzle in order to get to the treat inside.
Good luck
All the Best
