Hi Bren

Yes fleas can be a problem. In honesty I am not a believer in keeping Staffys outside. They are a great family Dog and when treated well will not ruin your house. JUst my opinion and everyone is entitled to their. In winter it can be cold for a sTaffy ( like now in the UK)

Best Wishes

Good article. However you forgot to mention that to be able to get rid of fleas out of the home, it's a must to keep your pet confined in one space, preferably outside. . Wash all pet bedding, any other washable furniture such as covers, rugs, pillows and your bedding. Vacuum all carpeting thoroughly and then make sure you throw the vacuum bag away immediately.

To eliminate fleas, on your pets, you must search for shampoos and powders for dogs and cats. There are a lot of flea busters available in the market. Also, you have to keep in mind that after appyling this product, you have to keep your environment kill in order to totally get rid of them.

Hi Paula

I know what you mean they are nasty. I have used Avantix which is a different version of Frontline. It was recommended to me. In honesty Flo has now used it for just over 2 months ( you need to apply every month)and no one tick!!! yipee. Its very distressing to remove them. Goog luck with it and let me know how you go
Best Wishes

All these remedies may work for fleas but for ticks no so luck. I have put ticks directly in garlic juice, neem oil, flea and tick shampoo and they just swim around like an outing at the pool. Alchohol seems to works for adult ticks but not the microscopic ones(strange). I have been researching holistic options and am still researching for my tick problem. I have used frontline and I notice the ill effects it has on my pets for 24-48hrs after applying so it is not a safe product and really do not want to use it anymore. Would really like some proven advise on ticks. Thak you! Paula
